Massenbewegungen und Ideologien gehören nicht mehr in diese Zeit- Es gibt keinen Trend mehr und das ist gut . Neue Ideen werden in kleinen Keimzellen geboren. So auch bei den Split Mirrors. Gemeinsamkeit beschränkt sich nicht nur auf Musik - Andy Cay, Peter Delain und Achim Jaspert Leben auch zusammen. In Jahrelanger Arbeit haben die drei Musiker Inhalte und Gefühle auf den Punkt gebracht. Elektronik widerspricht dem Konzept genau sowenig wie die von so Unterschiedlichen Musikrichtungen wie Pank, Rock und Pop geprägten Vergangenheit. Die fehlende Wärm in vielen, was man als Synthie-Pop kennengelernt hat, liegt nicht an der Technik, sondern an den Menschen, der sie einsetzt. Zweifellos orientiert sich die Musik der Split Mirrors an dem Inhaltlichen und Technischen Standard Internationaler Produktionen. Dieses geschieht aber nur in dem Masse, wie es ihre Eigenständigkeit nicht geändert.
